Looking for Alaska by John Green - 221 pages If you love reading books about teenage love and learning about other people’s high school experiences, then this is the book for you. Looking for Alaska will send you through a twisted roller coaster of emotions with an inspirational ending. The main character, Miles, has an experience similar to most high school students. At one point, he is considered an outsider until he switches schools and meets a girl that will forever change the way he sees the world. John Green writes an excellent portrait of the teenage mind. This is a great book for those who like movies like The Breakfast Club. |
Thirteen Reasons Why Jay Asher - 304 pages This book will leave you speechless and wanting more. This is, by far, one of the best books that will catch your attention from the moment you read the first page. It’s full of mystery and told by the perspective of a boy named Clay Jensen. Clay receives a mysterious box that's filled with mixed tapes which leads him to solve a complicated puzzle of death. If you’re into books such as The Book Thief, The Fault in Our Stars, and The Perks of Being a Wallflower, then this is the book you will enjoy the most. |
